The Murph Challenge is a fitness event that honors Lieutenant Michael P. Murphy, a U.S. Navy SEAL officer who was killed in action in Afghanistan. Lieutenant Murphy was awarded the Medal of Honor for his heroic actions during Operation Red Wings where he sacrificed his life for the safety of his squad. The challenge was created to commemorate his selflessness, sacrifice, and dedication to service.
